Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways to support Dogs in Distress. Many of the dogs that come into our care have experienced difficult circumstances and simply need a safe, loving place where they can rest, recover, and begin to trust again. By becoming a foster carer, you provide a temporary home where a dog can feel secure while waiting for their forever family. Your kindness and patience can make a huge difference during this important stage of their journey.

As a foster carer, you’ll help us learn more about a dog’s personality, behaviour, and needs, making it easier to find the right permanent home. Whether a dog stays with you for a few weeks or a few months, the care and support you provide helps prepare them for a successful adoption.
